FAQ

Which nib size should I choose, F or M?

F (fine) suits small, neat handwriting, note-taking and most left-handed writers. M (medium) lays a wetter, broader line and flatters signatures and larger handwriting. The statement pens are fitted with 14K gold nibs in F.

What ink cartridges fit these pens?

International-standard cartridges — the universal fitting — and every fountain pen is supplied with a converter, so bottled ink works from day one. Nothing in this collection needs a proprietary cartridge.

Which refills do the rollerballs and ballpoints take?

Rollerballs: the Schmidt Safety Ceramic Roller 5888 F and standard refills of that pattern. Ballpoints: Schmidt P900-pattern refills; some models also take the G2 format. Each product page states its standard in the details list — that standard, not a brand, is what to shop by.

I'm left-handed. Will a fountain pen work for me?

Yes — most left-handed writers do best with an F nib and a quick-drying ink, holding the pen so the nib stays above or beside the line rather than pushing through it. If you write with a hooked wrist, F is strongly recommended.

Will the brass change colour over time?

Yes. Uncoated brass darkens with handling, and lacquered editions wear at the edges to show the brass beneath. That is a property of the material, described on every product page. If you prefer the bright finish, it polishes back with a soft cloth and a little brass polish — see the Care page.

How do I clean a fountain pen?

Flush it with lukewarm water — fill and empty until the water runs nearly clear — whenever you change ink colour or every 4–6 weeks. The Care page has the full routine, including converter cleaning and storage.

Are the statement pieces gift-ready?

The metalwork sets arrive in solid-wood presentation boxes (the dragon fountain pen set adds a brass-capped ink bottle), and every instrument is boxed for the post. If the gift is going straight to its recipient, say so at tinyans@outlook.com and we will leave the invoice out.

Do you sell refills and cartridges?

Not at the moment — deliberately. Everything here runs on open standards (Schmidt 5888 and P900 patterns, G2 format, international cartridges), so any stationer can supply them, usually faster than we could post them.

How fast is delivery?

Orders are processed in 1–3 business days and US delivery takes 5–10 business days. The full details — and the international position — are on the Shipping & Returns page.

What if I change my mind?

Returns run for 30 days under the policy on the Shipping & Returns page. Write to tinyans@outlook.com first so we can expect the parcel.
